- Description
- ThisboardallowstheRaspberryPiPico（connectedviapinheader）todrivetwomotorssimultaneouslywithfullforward,reverse＆stopcontrol,makingitidealforPicocontrolledbuggyprojects.Alternatively,theboardcanbeusedtopowerasteppermotor.TheboardfeaturestheDRV8833motordriverIC,whichhasbuilt-inshortcircuit,overcurrentandthermalprotection.
- TheboardhasfourexternalconnectionstoGPIOpinsanda3VandGNDsupplyfromthePico.ThisallowsforadditionalIOoptionsforyourbuggybuildsthatcanbereadorcontrolledbythePico.Inadditionthereisanon/offswitchandpowerstatusLED,allowingyoutoseeataglanceiftheboardispoweredupandsaveyourbatterieswhenyourprojectisnotinuse.
- Tousethemotordriverboard,thePicoshouldhaveasolderedpinheaderandbeinsertedfirmlyintotheconnector.Theboardproducesaregulatedsupplythatisfedintothe40-wayconnectortopowerthePico,removingtheneedtopowerthePicodirectly.Themotordriverboardispoweredviaeitherscrewterminalsoraservostyleconnector.
- KitronikhasdevelopedaMicroPythonmoduleandsamplecodetosupporttheuseoftheMotorDriverboardwiththePico.ThiscodeisavailableintheGitHubrepo.
