Neuritin/NRN1 promotes neurite outgrowt; arborization and neuritogenesis. The protein contains a consensus cleavage signal found in glycosylphoshatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins.Overexpression of the encoded protein may be associated with astrocytoma progression.
