Background:CgA is a soluble acidic proteinthe which has the highest content in human adrenal medulla, it widely exist in neurons and neuroendocrine cells and tumor cells. CgA is mainly used for diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors, such as pituitary tumor, pancreatic islet cell tumor, pheochromocytoma, medullary carcinoma and carcinoid of thyroid.
