Immortalised Human Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cells were isolated from neonatal human globes and spontaneously Immortalised in culture. They retained typical morphology of the pigmented epithelium and expresses markers Chx10, Pax6, Ki67, and Oct4. It recommended for studies on the retinal pigment epithelium, and diseases associated such as macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa.
