- Mouse C57BL/6 calvaria. The osteoblastic cell line MC3T3-E1 has been established from a C57BL/6 mouse calvaria and selected on the basis of high alkaline phosphatase （ALP） activity in the resting state. Cells have the capacity to differentiate into osteo.
