Purity：Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation and DEAE chromatography.
Form：Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, sodium azide. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
Specificity：Recognizes human CD41a. Recognizes the intact platelet GPIIb/IIIa complex (alphaIIb/beta3-integrin). Does not bind to dissociated GPIIb or GPIIIa. Reacts with human platelets and megakaryocytes. Does not bind to platelets from patients with Glanzmann thrombasthenia and does not recognize the vitronectin receptor, which contains GPIIIa as a beta subunit (cf. CD61). Inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking fibrinogen binding to the glycoprotein IIb-IIIa complex.
