• Specificity：Recognizes the N-terminal portion of the extracellular domain of chicken A-CAM. Species Crossreactivity: human, mouse, rabbit and rat. Inhibits adherens junction formation and disrupts existing junctions of cultured lens cells. Stains a large variety of intercellular junctions formed by chicken fibroblastic and epithelial cells in culture. In adult mammals, the antibody stains predominantly heart and lens tissue and also stains a large variety of embryonic tissue. By double labelling, this antibody appears to localize vinculin and actin-rich intercellular contacts and is absent from cellular matrix attachment sites.
