• Microtubule Associated Protein 2 exists in two high molecular weight forms (2a & 2b) and a low molecular weight form.
• The expression of MAP2 is developmentally regulated and its multiple forms arise by alternative splicing of a single gene.
• This antibody is useful in studies of neuron structure in normal and malignant brain tissue and in Alzheimer’s tissue.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and studies of neuron structure.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:500
• Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
