CXCL3/GROg is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family.
CXCL3 controls migration and adhesion of monocytes and mediates it effects on its target cell by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CXCR2.
The three GRO cDNAs encode 107aa precursor proteins from which the N-terminal 34aa residues are cleaved to generate the mature GROs.
There are no potential N-linked glycosylation sites in the amino acid sequences.
GRO expression is inducible by serum or PDGF and/or by a variety of inflammatory mediators, such as IL-1 and TNF, in monocytes, fibroblasts, melanocytes and epithelial cells.
In certain tumor cell lines, GRO is expressed constitutively.
Similar to other alpha chemokines, the three GRO proteins are potent neutrophil attractants and activators.
In addition, these chemokines are also active toward basophils.
All three GROs can bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:100.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
