Fibroblast Growth Factor-acidic (FGF-a) is a heparin binding growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells.
Human FGF-acidic is a 15.8kD protein containing 140 amino acid residues
