Prostatic acid phosphatase (PSAP) is one of the two antigenic markers of prostatic carcinoma, the other being prostate specific antigen.
It belongs to the kallikrein family of serine proteases and is suggested to act as a hydrolase to split phospharyl choline in semen and as a transferase.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & formalin/paraffin): 0.25-0.5ug/ml for 30 min at RT.
No special pretreatment is required for immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Normal prostate or prostate carcinoma
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
