HSP27 is identical to the estrogen-induced p29 and 24K protein.
About 50% of breast carcinomas are positive for HSP27 especially those that are also positive for estrogen and/or progesterone receptor.
HSP27 has also been implicated in drug resistance in cancer cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:BT474, MDA-MB-453 cells, and breast carcinoma.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
