The expression of AR is reportedly inversely correlated with histologic grade i.e.
well differentiated prostate tumors show higher expression than the poorly differentiated tumors.
In prostate cancer, AR has been proposed as a marker of hormone-responsiveness.
Applications:Suitable for use in Gel Supershift, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Gel Supershift: Order Ab at 1mg/ml.
See cat.# A2281X.
Immunoprecipitation (Denatured): 2ug antibody/mg protein lysate (Use Protein G).
Western Blot: 1ug/ml for 2hrs at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50 for 30 min.
at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:LnCap cells or prostate carcinoma.
Source:Ascites
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage, store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
