特徴

• TRF2 is a ubiquitously expressed protein that is implicated in the control of telomere length.
• TRF2, like TRF1 contains a Myb-related DNA binding motif.
• It binds to duplex TTAGGG repeats and is localized to all human telomeres in metaphase chromosomes.
• TRF2 is thought to protect chromosome ends by maintaining the correct structure at telomere termini.
• The use of mutant forms of TRF2 has implicated a role for TRF2 in the prevention of senescence in primary human cells.
• Recently, it has been shown that inhibition of TRF2 resulted in apoptosis in a subset of mammalian cell types.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and has been reported to demonstrate cell nuclear staining in Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects TRF2 from a RIPA lysate of human Jurkat cells.
• TRF2 may be detected as a doublet in some cell lysates.
• Jurkat cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with T2400 (1ug/ml).
• Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse *and a chemiluminescence detection system.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

• Positive Antigen Control:J9000: Jurkat cell lysate.
• Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation.
• Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
