特徴

• Cytochrome C/Apaf-2 (apoptosis protease activating factor-2) is well known for its role in electron transport.
• During apoptosis (programmed cell death), Cytochrome C is released from the mitochondria into the cytosol where it binds to Apaf-1.
• Apaf-1 then activates caspase 9.
• Caspase 9 activation triggers other downstream caspase events in the proteolytic cascade.
• The mechanism by which Cytochrome C is released from the mitochondria and its function in Caspase 9 activation is still unclear.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 detects Cytochrome C in RIPA lysates from A431 cells.
• EGF-stimulated A431 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Cytochrome c (1:1000).
• Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
• Immunohistochemistry: Reported to stain rat spine cord sections.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Positive Antigen Control:EGF-stimulated A431 lysate.
• Use 20ug per lane for minigels.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
