• Clusterin, which is also known as Sulfated Glycoprotein-2 (SGP-2), Dimeric Acidic Glycoprotein (DAG), and Testosterone Repressed Prostate Message-2 (TRPM-2), is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric sulfated glycoprotein expressed in a variety of tissues.
• Although its function is unknown, clusterin binds to cells, membranes, and hydrophobic proteins.
• It also inhibits complement activation.
• Induced or elevated levels of clusterin have been associated with programmed cell death caused by hormonal stimuli or traumatic insult.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml.
• Detects human clusterin a chain (40kD) in RIPA lysates from HeLa cells, human serum and MCF-7 cell lysates.
• Immunohistochemistry: 5ug/ml (Paraffin embedded human brain sections).
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
• Recommended secondary antibodies:I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
