特徴

• The protein encoded by this gene is a substrate for protein kinase C.
• It is localized to the plasma membrane and is an actin filament crosslinking protein.
• Phosphorylation by protein kinase C or binding to calcium-calmodulin inhibits its association with actin and with the plasma membrane, leading to its presence in the cytoplasm.
• The protein is thought to be involved in cell motility, phagocytosis, membrane trafficking and mitogenesis.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000.
• Detects MARCKS in a bovine brain extract.
• Bovine brain extract was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with M2375 (1:500).
• Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse* and a chemiluminescence detection system.
• Immunoprecipitation: Precipitates MARCKS proteins from bovine brain extracts.
• Used mainly for the evaluation of MARCKS protein phosphorylation in intact human cells.
• Determined by immunoprecipitation of 32P-labeled protein as an indicator of protein kinase C activation in cells.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
