特徴

• Human eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha has two isoforms, alpha 1 and alpha 2.
• The alpha 1 isoform gene encodes a subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex which is responsible for the enzymatic delivery of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome.
• The alpha 1 isoform is expressed in brain, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas.
• The other isoform (alpha 2) is expressed in brain, heart and skeletal muscle.
• The alpha 1 isoform is identified as an autoantigen in 66% of patients with Felty syndrome.
• The gene for the alpha 1 isoform has been found to have multiple copies on many chromosomes, some of which, if not all, represent different pseudogenes.
• The gene for the alpha 2 may be critical in the development of ovarian cancer.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipiation.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects EF-1a in RIPA lysates from non-stimulated A431 cells.
• Cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with E2212 (0.5ug/ml).
• Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) Gt xMo and a chemiluminescence detection system.
• Immunoprecipitation: 4ug immunoprecipitated EF-1 a from an A431 RIPA cell lysate.
• Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

• A0001-50: Non-stimulated A431 cell lysate.
• Control cells:Non-stimulated A431, Jurkat or 3T3/A31 cell lysates
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
