Specificity：Recognizes HCV NS4 recombinant antigen. Since the antigen is aa1658-1863 (H1920-25, HCV NS4a+b), the antibody therefore recognizes that part of the unprocessed polypeptide. The precise epitope for this antibody has not been determined. Western Blots performed using this antigen and antibody give a single band. However, in infected cells, NS4 is processed into NS4a and NS4b. This antibody recognizes the NS4b. On Western Blots using infected cell lysates, a single band will be seen, corresponding to NS4b.
