The human leukocyte antigen system (HLA) is the name of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) in humans and is an essential element for immune function.
This group of genes re- sides on chromosome 6, and encodes cell-surface antigen- presenting proteins and many other genes.
Different classes have different functions: HLA class I antigens (A, B & C) present peptides from inside the cell, including viral peptides if present.
These peptides are produced from digested proteins that are broken down in the proteasomes.
Foreign antigens attract killer T-cells (also called CD8+ or cytotoxic T-cells) that destroy cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Other potential applications include Cell Typing, Tissue Staining and Chimerism Studies.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability: :Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
