- Cytomegalovirus is a herpes viral genus of the Herpesviruses group: in humans it is commonly known as HCMV or Human Herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5).
- HCMV infections are frequently associated with salivary glands, though they may be found throughout the body.
- HCMV infection can be life-threatening for people who are immunocompromised (e.g.
- patients with HIV, organ transplant recipients, or neonates).
- Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilutions:Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml
- Western Blot: 10ug/ml
- Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
