- Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response. Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
- Partial recombinant protein corresponding to aa21-153 from human Interleukin 2, expressed in Mammalian cells.

- Biological Activity:The ED50 as determined in a cell proliferation assay using CTLL?2 mouse cytotoxic T cells is less than 0.5ng/ml.

- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
