Unlike the other paramyxovirus attachment proteins, lacks both neuraminidase and hemagglutinating activities (Probable).; Helps the virus escape antibody-dependent restriction of replication by acting as an antigen decoy and by modulating the activity of leukocytes bearing Fc-gamma receptors.
