特徴

• EPO, also known as erythropoietin, is a member of t the type I cytokine family and is related to thrombopoietin. It is primarily produced in the kidney by a population of fibroblast-like cortical interstitial cells adjacent to the proximal tubules. This protein can be found in the plasma and regulates red cell production by promoting erythroid differentiation and initiating hemoglobin synthesis. It also has neuroprotective activity against a variety of potential brain injuries and anti-apoptotic functions in several tissue types.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
