• CEACAM-8, also known as CD66b, is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion in a calciumindependent manner. It mediates heterophilic cell adhesion with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related celladhesion molecules, such as CEACAM6. Its main function is cell adhesion, cell migration, and pathogen binding. However, its biological functions are largely unknown in eosinophils. It has been reported that CEACAM-8 ishighly expressed on the surface of human peripheral blood eosinophils isolated from healthy individuals and used as granulocyte marker. Recombinant human CEACAM-8, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
