Kubota’s Compete Serum-Free StemCell Growth Medium is formulated for optimal growth of stem/progenitor cells from the endodermal lineage. Kubota’s StemCell Growth medium contains glutamine but no antibiotics. After serum-free supplement is added to the basal medium and filtered to ensure sterility, the medium is complete and ready to use for expansionof human stem/progenitor cells of the endodermal lineage (liver, pancreas, intestinal, lung).
Preparing Kubota’s StemCell Growth Medium:1. Warm Kubota’s StemCell Growth basal medium to room temperature2. Thaw Kubota’s Serum-Free Supplementa. Aseptically add the Serum-Free Supplement to the basal medium - transfer entire contents of the vial then rinse the vial with basal medium3. Antibiotics are optional and not included in the supplement pack4. Filter through 0.22um filter unit5. Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use
6. Warm the complete medium to room temperature immediately before use
a. Do not leave the complete medium in a water-bath for longer than 5 minutes as this may result in degradation of the medium componentsNote: Degradation of some components is toxic to immature stem/progenitor cells7. Use complete medium within two weeks
Storage and Stability:Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use.
