Neural Transition complete medium is formulated to transition NSCs from growth phase into differentiation phase. Neural Transition Medium contains glutamine but no antibiotics. After all the components are added to the basal medium and filtered to ensure sterility, the media is complete and ready to use to prepare NSCs for differentiation
Culturing Conditions:For best growth and differentiation results NSCs should be cultured in a humidified incubator set at 6% CO2, 37°C and oxygen concentration below 5% O2.
Preparing Neural StemCell Growth Medium:1. Warm Neural Transition basal medium to room temperature2. Thaw Neural Transition Base Supplement and growth factors3. Aseptically add the supplements to the basal medium in this ordera. Neural Transition Supplement - transfer entire contents of the vial then rinse the vial with Neural Transition basal mediumb. Growth factors4. Antibiotics are optional but may be added. The cells have been tested in media containing 150ul of Gentamicin (50mg/ml) in 250ml media
5. Filter through 0.22um filter unit6. Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use7. Warm the complete medium to room temperature immediately before use
a. Do not leave the complete medium in a water-bath for longer than 5 minutes as this may result in degradation of the growth factors8. Use Neural Transition complete medium within two weeks
Storage and Stability:Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use.
