Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth medium is serum-free and formulated for the expansion of human hepatoblasts. Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth medium contains glutamine but no antibiotics. After the serum-free supplement and growth factors are added to the basal medium and filtered to ensure sterility, the medium is complete and ready to use for expansion of human hepatoblasts.

Preparing Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth Medium:1. Warm Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth basal medium to room temperature2. Thaw Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth Serum-Free Supplement and growth factorsa. Aseptically add the Serum-Free Supplement to the Kubota’s Hepatoblast Growth basal medium - transfer entire contents of the vial then rinse the vial with basal mediumb. EGF - transfer entire contents of vial then rinse the vial with basal medium3. Antibiotics are optional and not included in the supplement pack. The cells have been tested in media containing 150ul of Gentamicin in 250ml media
4. Filter through 0.22um filter unit5. Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use
6. Warm the complete medium to room temperature immediately before use
a. Do not leave the complete medium in a water-bath for longer than 5 minutes as this may result in degradation of the medium componentsNote: Degradation of some components is toxic to immature stem/progenitor cells7. Use complete medium within two weeks
Storage and Stability:Store the complete medium at 4°C in the dark until ready for use.
