The Protein Marker, BioSeparation™, 16kD-100kD consists of five proteins that resolve into sharp bands in the range of 16 to 100 kD. This unique protein ladder provides an easy method to monitor protein separation during electrophoresis, estimate the molecular weight of the protein of interest and evaluate western blot transfer efficiency. Each standard protein is covalently conjugated with a different chromophore, producing a colorful ladder for easy identification of protein size.
Applications:Designed for monitoring protein migration during SDS-PAGE, monitoring efficiency of protein transfer onto PVDF or nitrocellulose for Western Blotting, as well as sizing of proteins on SDS-PAGE and Western Blots.
Bands:5
Protein Range:16kD-100kD
Usage:Mix gently by pipetting up and down a few time, then directly load 5ul into well of gel.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
