The Protein Marker, BioSeparation™, 10kD-245kD consists of 12 proteins that resolve into sharp, tight bands in the range of 10-245kD. This unique protein ladder allows you to monitor protein separation during electrophoresis, estimate molecular weight of the protein of interest, and evaluate western blot transfer efficiency. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25kD and 75kD respectively) when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer).
Applications:Designed for monitoring protein migration during SDS-PAGE, monitoring efficiency of protein transfer onto PVDF or nitrocellulose for Western Blotting, as well as sizing of proteins on SDS-PAGE and Western Blots.
Bands:12
Protein Range:10kD-245kD
Usage:Mix gently by pipetting up and down a few time, then directly load 5ul into well of gel.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
