• TrkC, also known as NT-3 growth factor receptor, is part of the large family of receptor tyrosine kinases. TrkC is the high affinity catalytic receptor for the neurotrophin NT-3 (neurotrophin-3). As such, TrkC mediates themultiple effects of this neurotrophic factor, which includes neuronal differentiation and survival. Family of neurotrophin receptors including NTRK3 have been shown to induce a variety of pleiotorpic response inmalignant cells, including enhanced tumor cell invasiveness and chemotoxis. Increased NTRK3 expression has been demonstrated in neuroblastoma, in medulloblastoma, and in neuroectodermal brain tumors.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
