特徴

• Mer, also known as tyrosine-protein kinase Mer, is one of the receptor tyrosine kinase that transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm. It regulates many physiological processes including cellsurvival, migration, differentiation, and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. This protein plays a role in various processes such as macrophage clearance of apoptotic cells, platelet aggregation, cytoskeleton reorganization and engulfment. Mutations in this protein have been associated with disruption of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) phagocytosis pathway and onset of autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (RP).

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
