• Chemerin, also known as retinoic acid receptor responder protein 2 (RARRES2), is a distant member of the Cystatin superfamily. It is involved in multiple cancers, including adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC). Thisprotein in serum is transcriptionally downregulated in multiple cancer types. On the other hands, overexpression of this protein inhibits Wnt/beta-catenin pathway activity by promoting beta-catenin phosphorylation and degradation. Also, it has been implicated in autocrine/paracrine signaling for adipocyte differentiation and also stimulation of lipolysis. It was found to stimulate chemotaxis of dendritic cells and macrophages to the site of inflammation.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
