The Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) BioAssay™ ELISA Kit is a quantitative competitive assay for the detection of BSA in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Sensitivity:0.094ug/ml
Detection Range:0.156-10ug/ml
Specificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of bovine BSA. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between BSA and analogues is observed.
Precision:Intra-Assay: CV<8%Inter-Assay: CV<10%
Test Principle:This ELISA kit employs the one-step Competitive-ELISA detection method. The microtiter plate provided in this BioAssay™ kit has been pre-coated with anti-BSA antibody. During the reaction, BSA in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of HRP-Antigen. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, Then TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm. The concentration of BSA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Storage and Stability:Store unopened kit at 4ºC; store at -20ºC once opened. Store unopened standard at 4°C; once reconstituted, store at 4°C for up to 12 hours or at -20°C for up to 48 hours. Store other components at 4°C. Kit is stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vials after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
