Specificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Instant S100 Calcium Binding Protein B (S100B). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Instant S100 Calcium Binding Protein B (S100B) and analogues was observed.

Test Principle:The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to S100B. Standards or samples and HRP-labeled detection antibody specific to S100B (Detection Reagent A) are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells. Next, TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain S100B, and HRP-labeled detection antibody will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of S100B in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Storage and Stability:Store all components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
