Tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a) is a cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and stimulate the acute phase reaction. The primary role of TNF is in the regulation of immune cells. TNF, being an endogenous pyrogen, is able to induce apoptotic cell death, fever, to induce sepsis, to induce cachexia and inhibit tumorigenesis and viral infection. Recombinant TNFa is expressed in E. coli cells and purified by column chromatography.
Recombinant protein corresponding to human Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha, expressed in Transformed E. coli.
