Sample Type:Paraffin-embedded non-small cell lung cancer tissue sections.
Intended Use:FISH
Background:FISH is the first and only diagnostic test approved for the identification of ALK gene status in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. ALK gene recombination is a unique biological tumor characteristic of non-small cell lung cancer. Frame recombination leads to ALK kinase domain close to the promoter of another gene, resulting in the formation of a new gene fusion associated to the cancer development. ALK gene can fuse with several different genes such as EML4, TFG and KIF5B.
Application:All ALK genes recombination detection by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Features and Advantages:1. First ready-to-use ALK gene recombination assay kit
2. All ALK rearrangements can be identified, including the fusion of EML4, TFG and KIF5B and other genes
3. Low negative results and reliable results determination.
