- Tripyrroline is used as a reagent in the synthesis of potent and selective phosphinic peptide inhibitors of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. Tripyrroline is also used in the total synthesis of Febrifugine (F228500, 2HCl); a bioactive constituent of a Chinese medicinal herb that is characterized by its therapeutic activity regarding malaria, cancer, fibrosis and inflammatory diseases.
