Pentabromopseudilin, is a metabolite produced by Chromobacterium, isolated from a seawater sample from the North Pacific Gyre. The compound as shown to be responsible for autoinhibition in the Chromobacterium itself, as well as for antibiotic action against other kinds of bacteria.
