• Isotope labelled analogue of Nicotinic Acid (N429250), also known as vitamin B3, is an essential nutrient that must be obtained from a dietary source in order for normal body function. The administration of Nicotinic Acid in animal models of ischemia was shown to significantly reduce the size of infarction and improve functional recovery. Current findings suggest that nicotinic acid may have therapeutic potential for the treatment of traumatic brain injury.
