特徴

• MF 63 is an anti-inflammatory drug that blocks the action of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). It is used to treat chronic arthritis and inflammatory diseases, such as Crohn's disease. MF 63 has been shown to inhibit nitrite reductase activity in a type strain from Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of nitrite to nitric oxide, which is involved in regulating cell growth and proliferation. The drug also inhibits epidermal growth factor-induced tyrosine phosphorylation and cellular proliferation in cultured human keratinocytes. MF 63 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells derived from chronic lymphocytic leukemia and colon cancer cells.
