- Ethyl 2-Amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzothiophene-3-carboxylate is used as a reagent in the synthesis of 2-amino-N'-[substituted]-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzothiophene-3-carbohydrazides as antimicrobial agents. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of N-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amines as inhibitors of fibroblast grow factor receptor 1 (FGFR1).
