(E)-Cefpodoxime Proxetil (Cefpodoxime Proxetil EP Impurity D) is the (E)-isomer of Cefpodoxime Proxetil (C243860); an antibacterial and broad spectrum, orally absorbed third generation cephalosporin. The (E)-isomer tends to have less antibacterial activity than the (Z)-isomer.
