- 7-(Carboxymethoxy)-4-methylcoumarin is a coumarin synthesis reagent used to prepare the novel fluorescent probe Tb(III) - (7-carboxymethoxy-4-methylcoumarin) complex for DNA sensing. 7-(Carboxymethoxy)-4-methylcoumarin has also been used in the poly(4-vinyl pyridine)-CMC, photosensitive polymer synthesis.
