• 4-Methylumbelliferyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-b-D-glucopyranoside 6-sulphate sodium salt is a fluorescent substrate for isoenzyme A of N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (Hexosaminidase A). It can also be used in biological study of characterization of the mutant β-subunit of β-hexosaminidase for dimer formation responsible for the adult form of Sandhoff disease with the motor neuron disease phenotype.
