This antigen is a highly purified preparation of Dengue 2 virus particles.
Source:Dengue, strain 16681, from Vero cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Inactivation:Dengue virus is inactivated by room temperature incubation with formaldehyde. The formaldehyde is neutralized with the addition of sodium bisulphite.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Virus particles are separated from the sucrose containing buffer by ultracentrifugation and the antigen is resuspended in Medium 199.
