Sucrose Phosphate Synthase (SPS) synthesizes sucrose mainly in green photosynthetic organs. In storage organs, the SPS activity is very low. But some experiments show that sucrose circulations in sucrose source pool contain an invalid one which means sucrose synthesize and decompose at the same time. This moment, SPS activity is very strong. So the function of SPS in bank tissue should not be underestimated. In photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic tissues, SPS activity is regulated by metabolite and reversible protein phosphorylation.
Sample Type:Plants
Intended Use:This kit can be used for detection of SPS activity in samples, such as plants etc.
Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
