Peroxidase (POD) is a high-activity enzyme which exist widely in plants. It is related to respiration, photosynthesis and auxin oxidation. The POD activity is constantly changing in the process of plant growth. Generally, the POD activity is high in senescent tissue and weak in tender tissue. This is because POD can transform certain carbohydrates contained in tissue into lignin, thus results to the increase of the lignification. The POD activity was found increased in the root of premature senility rice, which indicates that POD activity can be used as a physiological index of tissue aging. In addition, the important role of peroxidase isozyme in the genetic breeding is also popular valued.

Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
