The main function of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) is transforming angiotensin I into angiotensin II, and the latter can raise blood pressure. The activity of ACE can increase during most active stage of sarcoidosis. Serum ACE mainly derives from capillary vessel endothelial cells of lung and ACE can change dramaticlly with acute lung injury. So the change of serum ACE can be used as an important index of measuring the extent of pulmonary injury caused by all kinds of factors.
Sample Type:Serum, plasma
Intended Use:This kit can be used for in vitro quantitative determination of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) in serum, plasma.
Sensitivity:≤5.1U/L.
Range:0-150U/L (Judgment basis: r2≥0.990)
Test Principle:The maximum absorption peak of FAP is 340nm wavelength. Use ACE to enzymolysis N-(3[2-FuryI] Acryloy)-phe-gly-gly into FAP and GG which leads to the declining change in absorbency. The activity of ACE in sample can be calculated by measuring the change rate of absorbency at specific wavelength.
Accuracy:The mean measurement value is within the prescriptive deviation area of this batch of quality control materials.
Precision: Intra-Assay CV: <6%Inter-RHL CV: <10%
Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
