Albumin is synthesized by the liver, which accounts for about 40% -60% of total plasma proteins. The molecular weight is about 66450. The main physiological functions include maintaining the colloid osmotic pressure of the blood vessel. It plays an important role in transportation and storage as nutrition of the endogenous amino acids and a carrier. Albumin can be combined and dissolve various substances, such as bilirubin, long chain fatty acid, thyroxine, triiodothyronine, cortisone and aldosterone. Test Principle:Albumin can combine with anionic dyes. Albumin combine with bromocresol green in condition of pH3.8~4.2, the color changes from yellow to green. The depth of the green is proportional to the concentration of albumin.

Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
